A MESSAGE FROM WESTERN POWER;

The continuing uncertainty generated by the COVID-19 pandemic is highlighting the importance of a stable and reliable power supply to critical infrastructure like hospitals, water supplies, and telecommunications, as well as more than two million West Australians during this unprecedented global emergency.

We continue working according to our COVID-19 strategy that allows us to continue our important planned work program, which maintains and upgrades the network, to deliver this certainty of supply for you. We know many people are working from home and will continue to do so in the near future. Doing the work now avoids potentially longer unplanned outages in the months ahead, especially in storm season.

While most of our planned work can be performed live without interruption to power, some outages are unavoidable because they can’t be done while the network is energised. We know there is never a good time to be without power and this is why we do everything in our power to avoid planned outages and give advanced notice when one is needed. I have attached a brochure available to help customers prepare for outages.

We will continue this strategically important work to make sure the network is ready to deal with this challenging time and for life after COVID-19. For further updates please visit:
